100% Cotton Grid Knit Guernsey Sweater
Named after the Cornish village of Sennen, this jumper is a modern take on traditional Gansey knitwear worn by fishermen in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a relaxed, boxy fit with a drop shoulder for a contemporary look while honouring maritime heritage.
The top half has a textured grid knit inspired by fishing nets, and a Ladder of Life pattern runs along the shoulders, symbolising sea challenges and triumphs. The welt is finished with garter stitch and 2×2 ribs, mimicking broken waves, with side slits for comfort and ease of movement.
Made from breathable midweight cotton, Sennen is versatile for year-round wear – layered in cooler months or worn light in summer. Its natural fibres make it soft, durable, and easy-care.
